They see a young couple having a time that’s good and their egos wanna test a brother’s manhood.

I love how London still looks gorgeous despite being full of cranes!

My laptop died for a little while so there was a dip in posts while it was off being fixed.

The job hunt is such a demoralising process. I have a horrible feeling I’m going to have to take a retail job for the summer. My last job was in a big Oxford Street clothes shop and I absolutely hated my job. I stuck at it for two years but once I left, I swore to myself I would do all I could do to never have to go back to retail. I love my support worker job, but there’s no work over the summer so I’m resigning myself more and more as time goes on to taking a crappy retail job until September. It’s depressing. At least I can be reassured with the knowledge that I’m going back to my other job in a couple of months. Still grim, though.

I’m going to the Ben and Jerry’s Sundae on the Common next weekend. There’s free ice cream all day and, weather permitting, an excuse to do little but traipse around in a summer dress all day. Heaven.

Oh yes. I’ve been reading a lot recently. I recently finished Mr Nice by Howard Marks and it is easily one of the best books I’ve ever read. My brother lent it to me and I’ve just lent it to my other brother, but I’m sure it will find its way back to me sometime so I can read it again. Such a good book. I’m currently on Understanding Power by Noam Chomsky, which is a collection of Chomsky’s lectures on a variety of subjects. Fantastic so far. Next on my list are Shock Doctrine and No Logo by Naomi Klein, and I might re-read Mao: The Unknown Story and Wild Swans by Jung Chang. I suddenly have this massive urge to read everything I can get my hands on. Funny really, seeing as I only get time to read when I’m travelling i.e. on the train/bus, when I get headaches from reading.

Mmm Eastenders omnibus on BBC iPlayer. Gosh, what a sad act.
