Last little bits from Mexico! Might have some more on offer if I dig around a bit. Will have to have a look. Steph and I got wing tattoos on my last day :) I’d been thinking about it for a while and we found a guy who was really good at tattooing wings so it was clearly fate! I absolutely love it.

Back to work next week. Meep. Then the day-long journey to Indonesia at the end of July. The Mexico journey really took it out of me. I’ve slept for approximately 15 out of the last 24 hours… At least I’ve got a few days off to adjust!

Guadalajarrraaaaaaa

On Saturday we decided to hop on a tour bus to Tlaquepaque and around Guadalajara. It was quite the precarious experience. I loved it. We had to keep ducking to avoid tree branches and low bridges.

The precarious bus ride

The man was waving this ugly thing in my face, hence the expression.

So, so pretty

We went into this restaurant that was quite hidden away from everything. There was just this staircase in the middle of a row of shops, but as we went in this really cute restaurant appeared. The food was great and we were serenaded by these two lovely men on a guitar and an accordion.

I’m so tempted to go on the tour bus again, just because it was so hilarious. There were cute Mexican kids to coo over too. I’ve still got loads of photos to sort out from yesterday’s trip to Chapala but it’s just too damn hot here today so I’m going to nap instead.

I also saw Up in Spanish (and 3D) last night, and it was soooo cute. I want a little pudgy-cheeked boy scout kid! Steph’s friends are hilarious and I’ve learnt a number of new Spanish words, the vast majority of which are far too rude to type here.

Quite overwhelming!

What a beastly face.

This mural was absolutely unbelievable. A photo could never do it justice. My face is a bit inappropriate for the grimness of it, but I was smiling at Hidalgo  who was looming over me.

PAPAAAAAA. Las Papas is amazing. In fact, we’re waiting on a delivery from Las Papas right now… I’m blogging to distract myself from the anticipation. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever tasted. It’s like a jacket potato of dreams. It’s my mission to recreate this beauty when I get home to London.

I absolutely love this city. It’s pretty, colourful and lively. We have much in store for the next couple of weeks so there will be photos aplenty!
