Yes, the butler has a place for her behind the pantry door.

Apologies for the crappy pictures! I forgot my camera yesterday and made do with my phone :) I went to this adorable tea room in Kew!! It’s called Maids of Honour and they do lovely cakes and pies. It was decorated like an old lady’s house with chintz and flowers and Chinese-style blue and white crockery. Really cute.

Going to see The Elephant Man and Wild At Heart at Somerset House tomorrow evening. I’m preparing myself to get very emotional. Then there’s round two of Half-Of-Ireland-Come-To-Visit (round one was last weekend) and, hopefully, some sleep squeezed in somewhere. I’m half-asleep all the time and it’s not a good look to be rocking.

Funnily enough, we’ve been debating the justifications for alliances with oil companies at SUFA today. Someone must have read my mind. I think we concluded that we are able to channel large sums of money into projects we believe are worthwhile, which would not be possible otherwise. The systems in place are biased against the poorest sections of developing populations so we’re really just shifting money in their direction. That’s one way of justifying it, I guess. It’s the fact that charities and NGOs have to do that in the first place that bothers me.
